Using Technology to Increase Student Engagement

The purpose of my action research is to create engagement in my 8th grade science students.

I begin by asking what would happen if I integrate simulation and collaborative websites and other computer resources into my classroom? Would this technology integration better engage my students?

I hope to demonstrate how I am improving my practice, as well as how I can contribute to the body of literature by continuously reflecting on my exploration of technology, collaborative learning platforms, and computer based learning strategies to increase engagement in my students. I will then share my experiences with fellow colleagues to improve the education of students in my community.
